Alright foodies, I have a random chili/condiment request: sambal badjak. I already checked out New Asia, but to no avail.

Completely addicted since I discovered it a few years back - I put it on everything. Help.

Try the Sri Lankan store near the Bahnhof (end of street between Burger King and watch store) or the Indian store at Claraplatz (exactly opposite the Post office)

Failing both, if you work at the biggest pharma in town, then enquire in the Thai restaurant on campus.

Haven't seen sambal badjak around - but Marktkauf in Weil am Rhein have sambal tjampoer, sambal manis and sambal oelek if you don't mind going to a whole different country for your chilli fix

Try the Thai shop on Claraplatz. They sell it.

Which Thai shop on Claraplatz? I only know the tiny place next to the Migros side entrance which I thought sold cooked food only.

That's the one. Next to the curry window there is a shop - which opens until about 7ish in the evening. They sell all Thai sauces, spices (including Thai basil) etc etc. They also sell sambal.
