I noticed an upcoming 'Wümmet Fäscht' this weekend in Höngg, Zürich, where the Winzers and Winzerinens will celebrate the new pickings with the Wümmers and Wümmerinnen. Sounds like fun.

(in case you're wondering, Winzer = vine grower, Wümmer = vine picker)

Anyone have experience of such an event or recommendations for others around Zürich ? Was slightly put off by the programm in Höngg which states
"18.30 Uhr Türöffnung Festzelt mit DJ Menzi" - does every event need a DJ?

Forget the Festzelt and that DJ, the wines on the various stands and smaller localities around the place are far better, and you have a chance to talk with folks like the younger two generations of the Zweifel family
