What about sweet and sour meals? i love pork with curry and pineapple. And yes i share your thoughts about bakery smell, bread, cake, muffins... mmmhmm yum yum
What about the typical food of your country, it is lovely to go back home and eat all the stuff you just would never find here, and if so they would just never taste the same.
i love mexican and italian food!

Oh, yes, a pineapple and prawn curry with a touch of tamarind gives you the spicy, sweet, sour and salty effect all at once.

Something that I love is warm, fresh Zopf with butter and jam or honey! or actually any bread that just came out of the oven. I have to be careful though, because I tend to get carried away, and the next thing I know, almost half a loaf is gone

and I cant forget Schnitzel mit pomme frites!! Luv it!

Would you know where I can get a good recipe for Zopf? My Mom used to make it, and I have lost her recipe. That was my favourite Sunday breakfast

Thanks for that link. One weekend, when I get free time, I will for sure try that. Just looking at the picture of a Zopf is making my mouth water!
