Dark beer

Wich dark beer amazed you the most?

For me:

O'hara is fantastic.
I like the "tasty of the coffe" in that beer, a little stronger than the Guinness
(Guinness too is a good one)

Have you some dark beer or stouts to advise?

Re: Dark beer

I know Germany isn't know for dark beer but when you get a chance try Köstritzer Schwarzbier. It's relatively light compared to your stouts but it's still a good alternative.

Actually i think the world's strongest (and unfortunately also most expensive) beer is The End of History. It just doesn't sound (and also doesnt look) very appealing to me.

If you like Belgian beers here is a good list (sorry not in English) but Brugge Beer Fest was fun. Small event but lots of beers to try!

I enjoy Old Rasputin, Two Brothers Northwind, and Founders Breakfast Stout the most. In that order.

*sigh* All good beers that used to be available at my favorite bar...

I guess the better question is where can we get some of these dark beers while out and about in Switzerland?
