Re: LOLZ - mad brits and mountainbikes :-)

Seems I screwed up your post, sorry about that. I was just testing vimeo vids in the Mod Zone a couple of days ago and was able to embed them into a post. Either it doesn't work in the public accessed areas of the forum or it's because I'm doing this on my iPad.

You can repost the link to the vid if you wish.

ok I fixed the link.

That is good, makes me look like a champion!!
I think most of the problem is the seat height, they should put them up just a bit more;-)))

Haha! Ouch! I thought about starting with downhill MTB since I moved to Switzerland, but it must hurt like hell to crash. Think I prefer to crash on snow instead

Re: LOLZ - mad brits and mountainbikes :-)

DH depends very much on how old/young you are ;-)
You could start with enduro riding (also improperly called "all-mountain" - which to me is more of long distance touring up & down technical trails).

I haven't really understood the nature of the competition in the video.... maybe it was one of those very british tongue-in-cheek things.

I've seen XC races that had some very gnarly passages which were usually well passed by most of the riders, so I really don't understand the amount of "carnage" in the vid.

But it must have been fun, tho :-)
