I'm a Manc in exile in Zurich and was hoping to get together with other United fans to watch games together on TV (or in Basel in December ...).

A few red Mancs can be found at the delightful Nelson pub in Zurich for the United games.
It's the only pub that plays all the games (incl Saturday 3pm kick offs). There is plenty of dry non nonsense caustic Manc wit especially with the City fans.

I'll be away for the Liverpool clash on Saturday but will be back for the Tuesday Champions' League game against Orel Fussli or whatever they're called.

Hiya Max (will also respond to PM). Will now go to the Nelson for the Sunderland game 5th November. Usually go to Luzern for the matches but now I know about the Nelly, will give it a go. Hope it's as good as the Nelson in Urmston though I doubt they'll have Joey Holts'

I went for the Man U v Liverpool game before trying some of Grumpy's English Cheese... don't know what I was expecting, but in the end ended up standing about watching the game on my own amidst loads of people.

Was hoping for something a little more, where perhaps I can shout "WTF? referee" and have some discussion or banter.

I can't make it for the champ league match today, but if any EF'ers are there in the future would be nice to find someone to grumble with.

So tomorrow it's the Manchester derby. We'll be in the Nelson to watch it.

But the Chelsea Arsenal game was scintillating.
We had 5 supporters if that's what you mean among many Swiss supporters.

I'm going to be in the UK (down south) so unless the woman who was showing live 3pm kick of games in her Portsmouth pub and successfully defended herself against Murdoch has changed things I won't get to see Fergie's 25th anniversary game.
I wonder if there will be a round of applause at the start of the match.
After Fergie relented on interviews with the Beeb I see no less than 9 articles about his achievement on the BBC website!

Well I gave it a go, sign behind the bar says "life is too short to drink cheap beer" too true at 9.50 chuffing chf's (for a bottle of Jever).

Better than Luzern pickwicks for watching the match though.
