Re: The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

Way to go Schumi. Hope this carries forward throughout tomorrows race. A podium could be on the cards.

Shame about Kimi's 5 place grid penalty. Still, at least he is up there in the top 10.

Massa still lagging behind.

McLaren lockout again, but can they cope with the Schuminator?

Well met Rubens Barrichello on my travels today. Got him to sign my "Alonso is faster than you " t-shirt. Sweet.

Re: The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

Incredible Alonso!!!

I missed what happened in boxes, but it must have been the silly moment this season so far, or was it deserved?

Anyhow, congrats to Alonso and Perez for a great GP

Perez deserved it but Sauber ed up a bit towards the end.

Or if you are into conspiracies, Ferrari forced "team orders".

Re: The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

It was a lot of luck and a relentless Alonso driving in rain. A crazy drive again in Malasya. In dry pavement Ferrari is still not at the level of the others But in rain Alonso was like fish in the water once again

Re: The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

What a great race. Nearly as interesting as my attempting to watch it.

Slept through the live coverage of the race.
Watching the inferior US coverage.
Recording of inferior US coverage stopped around lap 30.
Downloaded race.
Download didn't work.
Had to wait a few hours for the replay.

Great win for Alonso. Perez could have taken his first win. Great 2nd place. And well done to Hammy for 3rd.

Had another change around on the F1 game. Finally got the team I am happy with. Will post the new scores tomorrow.

Re: The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

So, Hammy has been hit with a 5 place penalty this weekend due to a gearbox change.

Lotus has now put in a formal protest against the Mercedes "W" wing. Redbull recently said if the W wing is deemed legal, they may protest the decision. I'm hoping it is deemed legal but either way I hope it is sorted this weekend once and for all.

And the Bahrain GP is still on...so far.

Re: The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

And a few minutes later, Lotus's protest has been dismissed as the Mercedes "W" wing has been again deemed legal by the FIA.

Re: The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

Could be an interesting race tomorrow. I expect to see the Mercs drop back unless they have solved thier tyre problems.

Interesting to see SV so far back but he will ahve an extra set of tyres.

Shame about this silly gearbox rule not sure why they don't have it the same as the engine rules.

Shame Kimi's tyres "dropped of the cliff" at the end. I sooo wanted him on the podium.
