The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

So another season has finished with Vettel and Redbull winning both titles...again.

What will next year bring?? A US track? Will Rubens, Kubica and or Kimi be back?

I for one am hoping for a much closer season between the top 4 teams at least and hopefully lots more excitment.

So, I will add info as I find it until the new season starts.

I am excited too about next year's championship. I would like to see Ferrari coming up with hugely improved machine and hope Alonso takes on the world.

Agreed Kev, and I will make at least I race next year. Monza is a given, but where else? I quite fancy a night race so Abu Dhabi or Singapore, with a wee extension to relax after the excitement, but what about Austin... new track, and Bernie will pull the stops out, but what's the area like?

First bit of news for next year.

Martin Brundall has now confirmed his move to Sky.

Not much of a surprise. What will DC do? I'd love to see him move as well.

Here are the full details of the BBC coverage for next year.

Gotta put the news on the correct thread though..

I'll be setting up a Fantasy F1 league for next season (at the start this time) if anyone is interested.

DC's comments to Jake Humphrey right at the end seemed to imply that they would be sticking with the beeb.

Jake won't be going anywhere. Not sure about DC or EJ though. Would be a great snatch from SKY to get them as well although they need to use their own people as well.

Porschy, time to get a bit of SKY maybe?

Re: The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

I heard sky will be having a dedicated F1 channel, anyone any ideas what the costs will be, can you get just 1 channel on sky? or can you get a 'ahem' after market sky card?

Re: The 2012 Formula 1 World Championship

I guess it is either Sky or watching it with commercial breaks on RTL. Will there be commercial breaks on Sky too?

What about Telesport's coverage - anyone know about that?

I am somewhat reluctant to get Sky -and I guess you'd need to subscribe to a sports package too?

"The F1 channel will also come at no extra charge to all Sky TV customers who take both Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 or the HD pack of channels"
There won't be any adverts during the race.
