from WikiAnswers:
Rangers F.C. (Glasgow, Scotland) are the World's most successful club, having won more major trophies than any other team, and being the first club to reach 100 major honours:
In total Rangers have won 113 major trophies:
53 League Championships (World Record)
33 National Cups
26 League Cups
1 European Cup Winners Cup
Not sure the taxman will be impressed by this though

Can't believe I am joking about this. I am sure all true football fans understand the nightmare this is.

For the worlds most successful club their record against 'less successful' teams isn't very good. It's not bad, but it's not good either. I'll stop there because as a lifelong Crystal Palace fan I can't say too much, except that we've never been beaten by rangers.

I can't believe I am coming to the defence of a Rangers supporter
The SPL has not always been all about The Old Firm, what about Aberdeen; especially when they were under the management of Alex Ferguson? At that point Aberdeen were one of the most successful teams in Europe. I know that was quite a few years ago but given the amount of Rangers have been around it is relevant. | Quote: | | | | | Oh come on, how hard can it be in a 2 horse race? | | | | | |

Rangers with without doubt the best team in the world.
We will get throught this administration quickly and come out stronger for it, granted the SPL is not the best league in the world but bear in mind that we are not the only league in recent years which comes down to a '2 horse race' i.e. La Liga.
Can't believe am actually going to post this but, saw it on a pap mates facebook last night and thought it was rather witty, well for that lot anyway...

I never argue the point because in 25ish years it certainly has been all Rangers and smelltic, but of course your are right, in years gone by you had Aberdeen, Dundee United Hearts etc all challenging for the title. | Quote: | | | | | Rangers with without doubt the best team in the world.

Rangers will be back bigger and better, there is no argument that we are one of the biggest supported clubs in the world. Name me another team that can take 200,000 supporters to a Euro final (Manchester 2008).
I just hope that we come back with our great name and history intact.

I along with 1000's of other supporters walked back to the city centre after the match to find it deserted and no sign of trouble.
Have a read up on facts before making statements please.

The city was not trashed because we lost....
But it is a joke that apparently 'englands best footballing city' couldn't organise a screen or its self.

Ah, that's ok then. They deserved to get trashed
So if Rangers do go under , does that mean an end the vile sectarianism that the clubs supporters have been so effective at continuing ?

It is rumoured and has pretty much been confirmed since that the decision to turn off the screen was down to the police as they had not anticipated the amount of supporters travelling and wanted to move the to another area OUTSIDE of town where are screening area had been set up.
