Ryder Cup 2012

Anyone else motivated?

What I miss most about the UK is the golf on telly. Which is not a big deal, except when it's the US Open or the Ryder Cup. So tee off is tomorrow evening. BBC2 is showing it from midnight 'til 2, when MrsZappa is safely tucked (that's with a "t" ) up in bed. Should be brilliant. The players are always so fired up.

I have Sky and the wife has to go away on business for the weekend.

Should be a great watch.

Re: Ryder Cup 2012

Anyone know where to watch it live if I don't have Sky?

Any other european channels showing it live? (I'm guessing not on tv in switzerland)

Re: Ryder Cup 2012

Looks like an American walkover this year. Not even worth staying up to watch the highlights. The singles tomorrow will be a formality. Oh well, gives the Americans some hope back after losing so often in recent years.

What a masterful display of how to lose from a position of certain glory and even better that Tiger Woods was the one who guaranteed the loss. Looks like tiger is too used to using the wrong putter!

Re: Ryder Cup 2012

Unbelievable! The best comeback ever in the Ryder Cup. I missed it all, as I made the same mistake as Rory McIllroy: Midnight 'til 2 was actullly UK time. 1-3 am was too late.

Listened to it on Five Live - you could even feel the tension on the radio!

Twas a great night and I watched it all. Tigers putt didn't mean shit to him the trophy was gone at 14-14. The crowd was singing "ole ole ole ole ole". If he cared he would have made Molinari putt.

Rose birdieing the last two holes was amazing to beat Mickelson. Furyk and Stricker were the real chokers. There putting and short games down the stretch just cracked under the pressure.

Started watching thinking it would be an early night but it just closer and tighter and I thought Kaymer had also blown it when he blew his first putt so far by. Reports say 5ft looked more like 8to 10ft to me.

Re: Ryder Cup 2012

Was great viewing!

For me, Mickelson was the only one from the Americans who played with heart and it took something special from Rose to beat him.

Snedeker was poor I thought and Furyk, Poulter as always in the Ryder Cup, played out of his skin!

Second that - Mickelson also put the sportsmanship back into the event - great great player.
