| | | Champion's League Finale
Are you guys for Chelsea or Manchester.
I'm for Chelsea. A win's gonna be the revenge of the English championship.
It will be a great finale but I hope that the fans of the two teams won't destroy the Moscow.

| | | Re: Champion's League Finale
Also pinched from Football365 WHY WE SHOULD SUPPORT MANYOO...
* They have undoubtedly been the most impressive team in currently the finest league in Europe so they are already - in theory at least - the best in the business. That this should be rewarded with the actual trophy seems in some way The Way It Should Be.
* They do have some likeable players - namely Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra and Carlos Tevez - whom it is actually quite tricky to wish ill upon.
* Paul Scholes is one of the lingering remnants of a time before bling and it would warm most cockles to see him achieve what he missed in 1999.
* They're the only thing standing between John Terry and the Champions League trophy.
* Peter Kenyon.
* Ronaldo may well bugger off to Real Madrid if they win, believing he's achieved everything he can with ManYoo.
* In Lyon, Roma and Barcelona they have beaten three of the best teams in France, Spain and Italy while Chelsea have only had to face England's fourth-best side and the finest football Greece and Turkey has to offer. There's definitely a theory building that United have earned one final triumph.
* It might stop Clive Tyldesley mentioning "that night in Barcelona".
* For all of Ronaldo's faults...he's not Didier Drogba.
* The closer ManYoo get to 'five times' the more Liverpool fans will be getting worried. And there's little that's more entertaining than a defensive Scouser. WHY WE SHOULD SUPPORT CHELSEA...
* It's always so much more civilised (and a lot less gloat-tastic) if trophies are shared around. Four trophies, four winners is a lovely outcome for the neutral.
* Avram Grant could dispel the 'Special One' myth once and for all, by achieving what Jose Mourinho completely failed to achieve while Chelsea manager.
* To avoid the 'is this the greatest ManYoo team ever?' bollix that we will undoubtedly have to endure if ManYoo win.
* We English love an underdog. And on this occasion, Chelsea are the underdog.
* Despite the presence of Ashley Cole, Drogba and Terry, they do have some likeable players. The form of Ricardo Carvalho, Petr Cech and Michael Essien in particular over the last two years is probably deserving of a Champions League medal.
* Rio Ferdinand and Ronaldo will probably cry if ManYoo lose. Who wouldn't want to see that?
* Ji-Sung Park, John O'Shea and Darren Fletcher should be nowhere near the title of 'European champion'.
* To see Sir Alex Ferguson's face turn redder than Red Square.
* To irritate all the millions of ManYoo 'fans' who would otherwise celebrate in your face on Thursday morning, despite the fact that you support Huddersfield Town and dream of nothing more than a League One play-off place.
* Because who chooses the devil when the deep blue sea is an option?
Its gotta be ManU, John Terry et al are utterly despicable, and with only Ronaldo to counter that my decision is clear...+ Chelsea have played some utterly rubbish football this season.

you cannot buy silverware - unless you're Blackburn Rovers.
I want to see Drogba go down like the KGB sniper got him. I'll have to wait 3 minutes then |

Hmmm..... American owner vs Russian Owner ........
Chelsea have home-ground advantage and from what I hear ( my brother lives in Moscow ) , they are being treated like the local team .
Chelsea in extra-time penalty , Drogba pulled down in the box by Van de saar , Ballack scores , nobody from England really involved .

It was not the most glamorous performance ever except for the first half. Besides the rest sucked. Penalty shootout is like a Russian roulet... This time MAN was more lucky Both teams made me sleeping....

I was disappointed Cashley scored, was hoping he'd smack it off the bar and the rebound would break his nose...shame.
Also is it just me or is there no excuse for a grown man crying at the end of a football game. it seems to be part of losing a final, but seeing John Terry sobbing his eyes out in front of x million people is just embarrassing.

My synopsis of the game: 1st Half:
Man U more than dominaited, missed more than a few very big chances, thought it should have been at least 3-1. Till Frank scored i already thought it was all over. 2nd Half:
Chelsea came out like a different team which left Man U on the back foot for the best part of 40 mins. Extra Time:
Anyones game tbh, chances at both ends and it looked like Man U was going to get a last min goal. Drogba, what an idiot.......i swear he did it on purpose to get out of taking a penalty!!! Penalties:
Cristianos' penalty was funny. Why does he always do the whole start/stop thing when it rarely works for him. Is it just for show-boating?? Best player in the world? my arse!! Watching the replay in slow-mo you can see that Terrys' left foot was still sliding when he hit the ball, which resulted in hitting the woodwork. Best penalty imo was Belletti.
Sudden death is just horrible.
Oh well, till next season i suppose!!

! | | | | | Exactly my opinion! I think maybe Terry got cocky, thought they had already won and so was wearing his slippers already - not good on wet grass. At least he was not in his pyjamas already, although he did cry when Avram told him it was over and bed time! I'm a West Ham fan (so was well represented on both sides) but wanted Chelsea to win. Now they didn't we've got another year of smug Mancs to put up with. Still, laughed my @rse off when Ronaldo missed his penalty! Tee hee!

The condition of the pitch looked atrocious. Players were slipping all evening and it certainly played a part in Chelsea's equaliser.
Apparently the authorities saturated the pitch the day before the game and then when it rained on the day of the game it meant that it didn't dry out as planned.
Got to feel sympathy for the losers. It was a great game and both teams gave everything. Penalty shootouts are always a bit of a lottery and not the best way to win. At least it wasn't 0-0 with penalties as is increasingly the case these days.
