Why, are you more of a caring, understanding nineties type?

Re: How long before a mountain biking clown falls off an alp?

Well I heard that someone tried to ski down the side of the Matterhorn, so I guess it's a just matter of time before someone carries their bike up there...

You think?

Have you seen the colour of Woodsie's Bike?

I just got a lilac road bike that Woodsie maybe would like to borrow for one of the Thursday rides.... size 57, will post pics later...

If interested just let me know Woodsie, it is just how you like them... Manly steel but with a feminine layer of paint over it.

The pictures as promised

If somebody is interested this bike is for sale too, CHF 250.- full Shimano 600, 56 cm, selle italia flite titanium gel saddle.

I might be interested, after you show me how fast you can hammer down the side of the Materhorn on it.

Re: How long before a mountain biking clown falls off an alp?

Woodsie,

if you want to borrow it for the Thursday ride, it's yours.

You just have to let me have some pictures

No, seriously if you want it I lend it gladly, but before Thursday, because I'll be playing tennis from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday.

PS. I can put on shimano SPD pedals or clip pedals if you need them

Re: How long before a mountain biking clown falls off an alp?

Well its official the biking clowns are throwing themselves helter skelter down Alps. There were a few people competing on Mountain Unicycles in a freeride MTB race that some of us did in Lenzerheide yesterday. Considering sections of the course were a bit sketchy with two wheels, I don't think I'd have fancied trying it on one!!!

Well with this and the roadie contingent out on the Alpinebrevet, it looks like the EF cyclist did alright this weekend.

I take it that those things could only have "fixed" wheels. Meaning the only braking is by putting pressure backwards on the pedal and resisting forward movement Ahhh, I'll take my disk brake any day!

I'm not sure if they are fully fixed gear, but I presume they are. They do have a brake though. There is a lever under the saddle and rim brakes just behind the fork, not sure if you can see it in those pictures, but I had a quick glance at them when walking past one after the finish yesterday.

Wondered why they both had hands down in that region........
