Ricky Hatton received a terrible beating from Manny Pacquiao last weekend.

So what did you think of that fight ... didn't last very long did it !!!
I watched bits on Youtube out of curiosity because of Manny, who is apparently such an idol in the Philippines, I think they want him for president now or something!!!

Watching the three fantastic 24/7 documentaries leading up to the fight really built up the match, but yeah, Hatton was no match for the Manny! While I'm no boxing fan, it's still awesome to follow the fights of a legend...in my lifetime. Really get to appreciate what it means to be a pound-for-pound best boxer in the world!

As for politics, well he's really doing the country proud, but definitely not "presidentiable" He ran a few years back for Congress also at the throes of huge wins, and still lost....thankfully, the people can still see which center stage he'll perform best at...and what's great about Manny is that it hasn't stopped him from still generously contributing to his province.

This is no fight ... where's mike tyson and the heavy weights ?

With all the funny things he said in the past ... he should be a comedian !

Heavy weights are not as exciting to watch...much slower pace, less movement and punches traded.

Besides, that kind of match up isn't realistic unless someone loses or gains so much he's not really "the same fighter" hence the pound-for-pound title which IMHO is a better gauge of the boxer's talent

Actually a good MMA fight is way more interesting to watch than a boxing match, IMHO !!!

Possibly the good ones...those with prolonged exchanges. I just get impatient with the grappling...they always seem locked down on the mat most of the time. With Pacquiao's fights though it's been a flurry...so say the other boxing greats so far:

I'm looking forward to Hayes vs Klitscho. Hayes has been winding up someone 30lbs heavier than him - not always a good idea. There's bound to be fireworks. I'll be in Basel by then; will that fight be on TV?
