I have searched long and hard on EF and I have not yet been able to find a location in Zurich that plays NFL games live. I know on a Sunday evening i may be a little bit more to ask of bar/restaurant owners however on this lovely day of thanks I was wondering if anyone knew if there was somewhere to watch the Thanksgiving day line up of games. Games start at 6:30 CET so I can definitely catch the first game (a real classic DET-GB). Hope someone can help me out. Feel free if anyone wants to join me, I am sure that I am not the only American Football lover out there.

Hooters plays the first game on Sundays. Not sure if they are open on Thanksgiving. Enjoy.

In Paddy Reilly's we always show the NHL on a Sunday evening - The first game in it's entirety and the second until we close the doors around Midnight (You'll normally get 3 Quarters as kick off is 22.15) We can also normally choose from 4/5 different games.

We can have it on almost any screen, with the commentary being on in the Non smoking room as you walk in on the right. We don't have commentary on in the main area, as due to the amount of sport we have on during the week, sometimes the pub just has to be a pub without sports commentary blaring out!

The "Comfort" option gives you ESPN America that gives you about 3 College Football games Saturday and usually a triple header Sundays too plus Monday Night (read Tuesday morning here).

This Sunday's screened NFL games BTW (9-12-10):

Bengals @ Patriots, Packers @ Steelers and the 2:00am game is the Cowboys @ Redskins.

Ahh! I remember trying to pick up the American game at the world cup the same time England was playing! Now that was tough. Luckily at Nelsons' there was a tiny little tv up in the corner with the US game on... I wonder if there would be much money in opening an "American" sports bar here!!
