Swiss Winter Paralympic team?

I was impressed watching the visually impaired skiers competing in the slalom course in Whistler last night, although it was tragic when the skier's guide lost his ski. But it occurred to me - where were the representatives of that great ski-ing nation, Switzerland?

Perhaps this explains why I only saw one Swiss competitor in all the events I watched-

How are paralympic athletes funded in other countries? The British seem to do well in summer paralympics and it does seem to have a higher profile in the UK?
