Kuper has spoken - the Dutch will lose to Germany in the final. (not online yet)

Spain don't have a hope in hell - if the Swiss can beat them so can Germany. Lowe will have done the planning.
I suspect they secretly think so - Spain fakes octopus prediction

Re: 2010 World Cup actual match discussion here (all matches)

Any advice on where to take my English manager to watch tonight's match in Zug? Will there be a big screen at the Pickwick?

Loved the commentary then for that last goal...

"And it came from the balding pate..."

I had to check if Slaphead was playing.

That was a good header - 3-1 presently and Holland looks set to proceed a step further..

Re: 2010 World Cup actual match discussion here (all matches)

2 of the best goals of the cup from Dutch and Urug. captains.
Nice game, though more expected from Dutch team for the final.
Again credit to Dutch coach for better guidance of the team after half time talks.

???

I do not see Holland playing Spain

And I absolutely do not see anything good in a Dutch win either... the course is set for a fourth star.

There is no denying Paul, the psychic octopus.

An early goal from Spain plus them then playing defensively will frustrate the Germans and lose them the game after a couple of sending offs.

we can have a revange for the lost final of '74. Even though in that

I think that would be a very interesting final as most players know each other from the Bundesliga quite well: There are 3x Bayern München, 2x Hamburger SV, 1x Stuttgart... in the Dutch team.

Today is the 36th anniversary of W Germany beating Holland 2-1 in the World Cup final.

Now, not a lot of people know that.

Tho' clearly more than did ten seconds ago.
