FIFA announced today that England had omitted the names of four players, as their participation in the competition could not be verified.

The players, Wayne Rooney, Emile Heskey, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole were believed to still be in South Africa. Only team manager Fabio Capello appears to have seen them.

They were last seen during England's qualifying matches, but there are rumours that Emile Heskey was seen during England's match against USA.

Someone should start a thread "Groan here about England's performance". No comments, just to create a run on the groan button.... England are dire, rubbish, boring, dismal and hopeless. Dream wreckers.

i have a better suggestion....a brit should create an EF account named "England_Team". It will allow all of us to groan or/and bad rep
