Congratulations, Bangladesh -- first significant cricket ODI series win

Bangladesh has just secured its first ever series win over a Full Member team in one day international cricket, taking the fourth ODI against New Zealand for an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series.

It's taken them yonks, but finally, they've done it! And it's not so long ago (July 2008) that NZ was ranked the third best ODI team in the world.

Great to see some healthy competition at last. Congratulations to the Bangladeshi team.

Bangladesh winning against England would have been much better!

No, I support the Black Caps, except of course against the baggy greens. They punch way above their weight. Usually.

Yeah, it is really a good sign for cricket. I just noticed that the next match they play is against India in the WC next year. I hope they loose all this momentum in the off season!

It's an inclusive sport, that caters for all abilities from the superfit international sportsman to the fat bloke on the village green.

You got a problem with that?

Fat bellies or no bellies it truly takes b"lls to stand at the crease when a ball made of hard leather is speeding at you at over 100 KM/hour!

If you dont get the game and dont like it we dont want to hear about it!

No I don't have a problem with it. Playing it is fun, but watching it is another matter.

All sports cater all abilities and fitness levels if you think about it. But cricket takes it to another level.

Ha ha, well, I guess it's the same in every sport. Assuming from your EF name that you're a football fan, here's are some fine footballing specimens:

Gazza

Hand of God (fat and a cheat)

and another one of Diego, really you need two photos to fit all of him in

William Foulke (goalie for England)

Nifty Nev Southall

I do get the game. I play it every week. The issue is not the game at all. Anyway...all sports are open to criticism and questions. don't act like you invented it or something

I love all sports. And as just stated in my earlier post, all sports have their positives and negatives. But to compare cricket to football on a mental, physical and psychological level is well...plain silly.

I agree. Cricket is far superior and beyond comparison to fetball.

Wat the hell are you smoking ???? have you heard of test matches in cricket played over five days... have you tried to bowl stand behind the stumps???? just coz there were a few fatties in the sport(by the way quite a few of them were ing brilliant) you reach the logical conclusion that it is less taxing than football ?.
Dont get me wrong i love football but not enough for me to spurt out utter nonsense!!!

grow up. just because someone raises points that differ to yours, it doesn't mean you have to cry about it.
