Re: The 2011 Formula One Championship

Thinking of booking this for myself and possibly my brother for next year at Silverstone http://www.silverstone.co.uk/corpora...drivers-lounge

10th July next year will be my 50th birthday so want to do something special.

Anyone booked similar?

This does not look like it covers a paddock walk but guess I can ask them about that too.

Re: The 2011 Formula One Championship

What did everybody think of the BBC Coverage?

My opinion:
Generally, streets ahead of ITV and RTL, I canceled my Teleclub subscription.
Negatives:
Johnathan Legard, doesn't know basic stuff and kept making mistakes.
Eddie Jordan: Hypocritical sensationalist claptrap

Now I need to see if we can get GGAMaur to provide the Red Button Channel, which I understand was top notch.

I think EJ is a good addition to the team. Yes some things he says are...different but at least he asks people the questions others wouldnt.

And don't be suprised if JL is not there next year.

Think you're absolutely on the button there (no pun intended!) Legard is like an old embarrassing dad having a go on the mike, you can feel Brundle cringing at some of the comments. I used to dislike JA immensley but Legard almost matches him for sh't comments and observations. Still nothing as bad as "leeets go raaaacinnng!!" what a bellend.

Who's that chap who they tried on BBC free practice coverage the other day he was good, i always used to enjoy Ben and John Watson. Murray and James Hunt were awesome together.

Anyway yes leagues ahead of ITV in every way. Bring it back for 2011 on BBC HD and ill be spot welding my pants.

autosport have a slightly different version, sounds like he told them where to go when they tried to farm him off to hrt for a year as part of the deal.

Did the issue with Australia get resolved?

Interesting that the first race in Bahrain follows straight on from the last testing weekend. Guess this makes some sense with regards to costs, but does not give any time to introduce changes or develop futher before the first race, especially as it's so far away. Guess they will all have big upgrades come Turkey.

Actually Germany is at: Nürburgring next year (alternates)

http://maps.google.ch/maps?hl=en&q=N...-8&sa=N&tab=wl

Valencia would also be an option as I would not have to pay for accomadation (but would probably have to hire a car).

Come over from the dark side and watch some real racing!

One Mr Valentino Rossi will be riding a big red Ducati Desmosedici next year - even the Pope is going to watch!

F1 = boring

How about you make your own thread for this? If we wanted to discuss motoGP then we'd make a thread about it.
