Multi quote- HOW TO??

Can admin clarify how to properly use the "multi quote this thread" function?

It's quite straight-forward, I don't really know how to explain it other than push the button marked like this:

It's a toggle button, so you can click this on or off for any post on the thread (or even off the thread I think). When you click reply, all of the posts you have marked in this fashion will be copied as separate quote blocks into your reply - where you can edit them as you like.

I wasn't aware you needed to activate it for each person of which you wish to quote on.
