Can Mods access the EF database ?

I DO NOT think mods get their friends to report PM's

Again my understanding is mods can not read PMs - maybe Admin can tweak v bulletin to allow mods access to read PMs but on this forum the mods have no access rights to read PMs

If the words of the mods who have replied is not enough then again, I suggest you ask Editor Bob

I'm sure this does NOT happen HERE. But that it could happen- should a moderator have a real vested interest for whatever reason, is worth being aware of.

If you ever went back home, for friends to tell you that somebody has been making enquiries by phone from a foreing country about you- you'd realise that it is best to be careful.

I understand that I, and the other mods, cannot read anyone's PMs (other than our own, of course). Certainly on the Moderator Control Panel there is no option to access PMs. Like most of the other mods, I am in no way technically minded, so I have no idea if there is some way of getting around the Mod CP or hacking into PMs. In any case, I have absolutely no interest in knowing what people are writing privately to each other. There's enough to moderate in the public parts of EF, believe me.

Like vwild1, I didn't really understand the original question. Was it asking whether we can access PMs? jrspet answered the general database access issue, I believe.
