Using EF on mobile ( iPhone )

Does anybody who has an iphone have trouble using EF on it? I can access it and view messages and posts but i cannot reply to anything!! Its soooooo annoying! As far as i know people with android phones don't seem to have a problem, or am i being really stupid and there's some sort of knack??

Re: Using EF on mobile

IO have no problem posting replies or new threads or replying to PM/s on EF on my iPhone. Perhaps you can explain why you can't and then someone can help you further.

EDIT.... first thought.... are you actually signed in to EF on your phone?

Try using the "Post reply" button, rather than using the quick reply box.

Also, check to make sure that you have javascript active in safari's settings. The forum will work without javascript active, but some things may not work as expected.

Re: Using EF on mobile ( iPhone )

EF has always worked reasonable well for me with iPhone's Safari (contrast to guardian.co.uk which is pretty much guaranteed to crash Safari).

Re: Using EF on mobile ( iPhone )

OK, I am aware of Tapatalk, but would rather browse the Englishforum on my mobile browser (android) as I would any other website.

Other forums I use have mobile-optimised sites (much as most sites have now) - but the EF still appears effectively the same with a slight different rendering on my phone or tablet.

Is the forum using such an old version of vbulletin that this is not supported? Will it be, in the future? The last missive from the admin re tapatalk was 2011 - web browsing has changed quite a lot since then.

Also with Firefox and Dolphin browsers, as well as the preloaded one.
