Re: Request for addition to Marketplace rules

It's not that it'd be hard to enforce, but I can't thing of a way that it could be enforceable at all. Essentially it'd just be asking people to use some common sense.

Can you suggest how it could be worded?

Completely agree... amending the rules will change nothing (do people read them anyway?) and its not enforceable or punishable. Its up to the seller to make it as bleedingly obvious as possible in the first post of their for sale ad, and this they can do very easily with minimal effort.

I wish it were a requirement in the Items Wanted for the poster to state a budget.

It would still be immensely helpful if the roolz stated the bleedin' obvious on both sides. Then, if buyers don't comply, sellers at least have something formal to refer to and grounds to name and shame if necessary. In other words, let the sellers enforce the rule by refusing to deal with or neg repping proven time-wasters.

Re: Request for addition to Marketplace rules

Can we have close thread option for the thread creator rather than asking mod each time?

You can do that already (as long as they've posted something to rep).

By all means, we can add a line something like "When responding to ads, please note the location of the item where given. If you cannot collect and the item cannot be posted then check with the seller before reserving an item.", but it's unlikely to make any difference.
