Re: Problem opening threads. EF running very slow

There was a huge DOS attack last week on many major website (and yes, buy mentioning this I do feel EF is extremely major on the global scale).


Alternatively, perhaps the Russians are attempting some sort of vague data collection after one of their sleeper EF member started a Friday thread too late.

There was a pretty heavy one today directed at 123Reg, a DNS provider located in the UK, which is where the EF server is located.

I'm betting that this has something to do with the slow responses people have experienced today. DNS is bit like a "I don't have it, do you have it" kind of thing, so if any of you were using a DNS server that referred to a 123Reg DNS server to get the EF's address then you could very well have experienced the problems described.
