Posting new thread problem with Firefox

I am having problem porting with Firefix (hence I am doing this with IE).

I can reply no probs but when i try to start a new thread, I can enter a title but the message box is grey and I cant enter any text.

Any ideas??

Someone did report this to me in a PM a couple of days ago, but I'd never heard of such a problem. I myself use firefox, as do 22% of our users.

Are you running the very latest version? Have you changed any settings from the default (like disabled javascript or something)? Which operating system are you using?

If so it might be a problem with a module I installed. It's a mod that asks posters to confirm whether they are really sure they are about to post in the right area if they have less than 10 posts. It's a futile attempt to reduce the amount of new threads we have to move around.

But if this is the problem it could explain why very few people see it - this module goes away once you have 10 posts.

If you think this matches your symptoms PM me and I'll switch it off and we'll see if fixes the problem

Sounds like the one, I also see the quick reply box is gry and have to click the reply box to submit a reply. I will have a play round later this week when I have a little more time (didnt expect such a quick response)

I had the same problem, so I used explorer and its working now...

Just an update on this. This particular mod seems to have an issue and the author hasn't provided a fix yet. Therefore I've disabled the mod so this issue should go away.
