Sorry if I was a bit aggressive at the beginning of this thread but at first I thought that there was a more sinister motive, like the owners of the EF not wanting to p!ss off potential future sponsors.

At least I seem to have kept plenty of people entertained

I very much doubt that when a small thread is merged with a 20+ pages thread it gets half the attention it would have if it hadn't been merged. From your stats you'd have to start by subtracting the number of views that the big thread already had before the merge then subtract the statistics for the people who just go to the last page (and don't bother reading through the other 20 pages). I think you'd arrive at a number very close to 0.

The fact that your thread complaining about the other thread hasn't been removed or heavily moderated is reasonable evidence that the previous action wasn't motivated by malice or sneakiness. (I love that word.)

Glad you noticed.

To the guy who originally complained about some threads being merged and others not, maybe the "Absurd Swiss prices" thread will give you an inkling of why moderator actions appear inconsistent sometimes.

As for merge-craziness ... just giving the people what they want! (But can I stop now, please?)
