Are we allowed to put a link/webside of a club/restaurant/bar in here?

Someone was asking around where to party in the other day and i suggested him a place to go and put a link at the end, my post was deleted soon after and reason was do not put such site in here.

It was a dancing club/bar in Winterthur called Bolero, nothing like a nightclub or same sort.

I saw a few other links above my post which stated some links of other clubs in Zurich, so I am not sure if it is allowed to post the links of club/bar/restaurant in here or not.

And who is allowed to edit and deleted your post? EF officer or just any senior EF user?

As far as I can tell, it's just a dance club. Should have been allowed.

Only moderators (usually people who've been here a while, posted lots, and are more level headed and tolerant than, say, me) can edit/delete/move other people's posts.

It may have been deleted if it looked as if you were connected with the club. That would need to be in the commercial section.

Before posting it again, it would be best to contact one of the mods to clarify why it was removed. You could click the 'Report Post' red triangle at the top right of post in the thread that you posted it originally.

Not aware of the post in question, but as mentioned if it seems a commercial post we usually step on them. If you're just adding links we generally have no problems. We need to be a bit sensitive about over enthusiastic criticism, but basic info exchange is the heart and soul of this Forum.
