I agree on that part. Newbies are sometimes treated a bit too harsh for not knowing how the forum works. We were all new once and I remember it very well since I was new and had few FAQs deleted and informed to use Advance Search. I just didn't know how to use advance search since I was not familiar vBulletin Forum.
There is indeed a lot of the same questions asked again and again and again, so I can't blame the mods either for deleting them. But maybe there could be some middle way as a solution?

I'm not sure what you mean about take advantage...? When I had some problems when I was just arrived here, I got some really good help and support from other EFers that I had never meet. When I put the helpful spirit on the scale against few threads removed, I have to say the forum is still in a big + from my point of view. I am still amazed how many people here are decent and helpful.

Yeah, I don't know. I have disagreed with them loads of times, but over all I think they usually have their point. There was a time point when I had enough (and flounced), but I found out that if you explain your point with some manners, they are ready to listen to you. If one start to piss on another person (mod or no mod), one can't really expect to get positive reaction.

Ehm, yeah. There have been some persons around and not equally funny. Some start off funny, but keep telling the same joke over and over. Personally I don't find the same joke funny the second time, let alone the 10th time

Well there is one I had drinks with many times, but that was before he became a mod. Sadly I haven't seen him much after he became a mod so I can't bribe him with beers anymore I have had drinks with one other, and that's it. Would be more fun to get more mods drunk and get all the dirty details from them, wouldn't it?

Okay, now on a more serious note.

Its a forum. What did you expect ?

You will find people of all kinds, shapes and sizes. Just like in real life.
There will be the ones who are genuinely helpful.
There will be the ones who are just complete morons and resort to trolling.
And of course there will be people having a bad day just venting it out here.

There is no advertisement for EF which says...
"Come to us, we will solve all your problems".
This is just another online forum among countless others.
We just tend to have a smaller focus region and hence socialize a bit more.

So chill & relax.

I don't see why we feel we have to keep defending ourselves and EF

With so many flouncing threads I haven't got the energy to defend or even agree with points posters make. I'm not saying it's perfect here and I agree with some of the comments people are making but really WTF?? Do people really think they are so special that their flounce will make more of a difference than the flouncers before????

If you like it here stay, if you don't then leave. Simples.

OK I will be more specific. Do you think this type of post is acceptable? I do not. As mentioned I have been on EF for 8 months now so hardly a trouble maker in the making.

That's the point, "PlantHead", why do you think we have avatars here? Or is that your given name?

She's (or he, who knows, really) the same right to stamp and rant and rave on here as you do about the fact that the "real world" wouldn't take it, or the rest of the forum does about the fact that "she's got it wrong". That's the point, this is a great place to air our opinions, it's fabulous, it's a beautiful mode of communication. Of course it wouldn't work out there in the sun, who cares?

Also, it's *affects, if you're going to be a coot about everything I do, because it's getting agitating.
