We just moved to Switzerland and we could really use a sofa (couch) to sleep on for the short term. Ideally it would be big enough for 2 people to sleep on (after folding out, or maybe just as it is). I've seen a few things at IKEA, buty they were way too expensive for our budget at the moment.
Free would of course be great, but we could afford to give up a few CHFs as well. Main point is that we don't want to pay retail until we can afford it (or maybe not at all).
We're also interested in places here where you can get free or cheap furniture. Ebay.ch doesn't seem to have much. I've heard of Ricardo.ch, but other than that I'm not sure where to look for used stuff. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
A good place to find stuff is on the radio. WRS (World Radio Switzerland) is a English speaking expat station. On friday mornings at 8(?) they do the classified. Expats call in, say what they have, and how to contact.
Only problem is I don't know if you get it in Bern. It's broadcast out of Geneva. Maybe you can listen online. Or it might be broadcast in Bern too.

You can get cheap furniture at second hand stores in Bern, there are a few (Emmaus, Heilsarmee, Lorraine Brocki etc) - some places also deliver if you can't transport the furniture yourself. If you need any addresses, just let me know. I haven't got a bed sofa to give at the moment, but if I hear of anything, I'll let you know.
