Offering books in English...

OK, I have 6 Migros bags filled with books in English. In good conditions, some even new - recent mostly. They are paperbacks editions, mostly from last 5 years, thriller-action style.

I am in Lausanne - anybody interested???? I am not selling, I am giving. Otherwise, has anybody an idea of where I can bring the bags???

Hi lilith,

I would love English books but can you name them or at least some of them? If they are all action thrillers then no thanks. Otherwise I would love to have a few.

I am in Zurich by the way!

If you are not leaving soon I would suggest www.bookmooch.com, as you get books back for those you send off . See another thread here, search on bookmooch..

Re: Offering books in English...

Well, I am not going anywhere - I am just making space in my shelves!! I don't read this style - it is my ex's LOL - and there are tons!!! Frankly, I would not even mind to have a "english friends garage give-out", but I am not carrying them to Zurich...

To name some... hug. lots of them! but some of the authors are Ken Follet, Robert Ludlum, Campbell Armstrong, Mario Puzo, Robert Tanenbaum, David Baldacci, Clive Cussler, Robert Hyde, Robert Crais, Craig Thomas...
There are also some Mitchener's, but those are old and in very read conditions.

Thanks for the address on bookmooch... but it would take me a full time job to get rid of all!!! I also considered book-crossing them, but again, just typing them in aaaaargh!!! My other thought is to give them to the salvation army, but being in English...

Re: Offering books in English...

There is a charity shop run by Terre des hommes in le Flon opposite Fnac (middle of Lausanne). They have a few english books for sale, so i am sure they would be happy to take them. Then, if people want the books, they can make a small donation to a very good charity. They also have some other interesting stuff.
Hope that helps.

Kathy

If you're giving them away then my school (Brillantmont International School), also in Lausanne, would probably take them for their library.

) sorry I found the way to give them.
I still have regularly some books to give, but lots less - a handful.

If you are in Lausanne and desperate for some reading material, just send me an email...
