Re: Trip to Malta- Travel advice needed

Your kids may enjoy the large Mediterraneo marine park, not far from Mellieha. http://www.mediterraneopark.com/

Malta and Gozo are one of those ancient multicultural mysteries that never seem to end, no matter how often you go there. If you get to know some locals, the intrigues of the society are amazing. Try to get around a bit if you can, kids allowing.

Re: Trip to Malta- Travel advice needed

Malta is a nice small country , when you get in take a full hop on hop off tour, you will see most of the country in one day then based on what you see you can then hang out more in that area, the color and culture will give you a different perspective. There is one main area where you can walk and browse shops and take pictures like a main street.

Re: Trip to Malta- Travel advice needed

I just spent 4 days in Malta and I enjoyed it tremendously. I intend to go back and visit the places I missed, there is so much to see. So much history and the people, weather and prices were fantastic.

Reviving this thread

We are planning a little trip to Malta in July without the kids and I am looking at places where we could stay. Any recommendations of quiet little towns by the beach?

Thank you very much in advance.

A case of from the pan (our boisterous kids) to the fire (Malta) . I bet the sun, sea and food would make up for the lack of serenity

You could go to Gozo, which is rather dead.
The North of the island tends to be a little quieter, Mellieha might suit or St Pauls Bay, however Bugibba & Qwara come under St Pauls Bay & they are as noisy as it gets.
