| | | I have a quick question....
Hi all,
I have been given the task of organising a stag-do in England/Scotland/Wales.
I was just wondering, as there are so many Ex-Pats on this website from all over the UK and most of you will have attended a stag-do or two... does anyone have any great ideas??? Have you had a particularly good experience with a company that organises this kinda thing (cheapishly)? Have you experienced a particularly good stag-do? What kind of activities went down well?
I am currently thinking.. beer, paintball, karting, clay pidgeons, fighting, punching, crying... but everyone does that. So maybe just hire a barge somewhere in wales, get the beers in, bring a footie, bring some tunes and BBQ.. and head off.
It would be really cool if anyone had some advice or some stories.
Cheers all,
Hugh

Sounds good. | | | | | & if its anything like the last bunch of Stags I've been on, fighting, punching, crying will all be part of the mix anway ... frankly, I'm fed up with jetting off to near flung places to get wazzed for a weekend. Cruising on a barge & getting gently sozzled with your mates is much more appealing ... yes, I am under 60 honest ... |

| | | Re: I have a quick question.... www.lastnightoffreedom.co.uk were good.
Did a pretty good job of organizing a bunch of us on a weekend in Barcelona, even got tickets for the last home game of the season....
Should be equally good on their home turf, although I'd always plump for an away day somewhere in Europe, reading what you plan to do somewhere in France might be fun?
Assuming you don't want to do any "fighting, punching and crying" with the locals, since they'll no doubt run away....
Stories? Oh there are so many, where would one start? |

I know what you mean, I have a tonnes of stories, but strangely enough the guy that is getting married always organises the killer stag dos.
So now I have to manage one that is up there with his.
Problem being that I've been restricted to the UK, and everyone is on a tight budget. |

But similar idea. Was a great weekend. Thow into the occasion a few decks of cards, chips and poker and blackjack tables and we had our own mini floating illegal casino.
Best bit was, we didn't lose anybody overboard all weekend, though with the amount of liquor consumed I'm not quite sure how we managed that.
Biggest down side was that it made it impossible to sneak any strippers in. |

I was just beginning to wonder what ever happened to the bunny-eared young woman/man who bursts out of a fake cake...

I have used these before and could make for a good venue http://www.landmarktrust.org.uk/ |

Haha, I've done one of these on the Hawksebury. We managed to rip one of the engines off the houseboat (can't believe the guys let me drive ) and sink the dingie... awesome stuff | Quote: | | | | | A mate of mine did a similar thing, except it was a house boat on the Hawkesbury just outside of Sydney. I just checked out the website, seems amazing, but would be concerned about the boys destroying a classic landmark.
Which buildings have you visited and can you tell me a little about your experience (surrounding area etc?)

My suggestions for awesome UK stag do locations would be
1) Newquay
2) Cardiff
3) Dublin
4) Edinburgh
5) Newcastle
All have a propensity of bars, clubs, alcohol, strippers and hen do's. Basically, everything a good stag do needs |

Blackpool or Southport. They're both beyond repair.

I had my stag do a few weeks ago in London and the boys wanted to do something different from the normal paintball, go karting etc.
We ended going to a place called "go ape" basically it was in Kent and was a mixture of zip line's, tight rope and other random things like swinging between trees that are upto about 20-30 high.
It was really good fun, not something to do pissed, but a great day before you have a great night.
Do a search for the site, its just as I said something original.
