The full moon brings danger on March 19th

The world is set to experience the biggest full moon for almost two decades when the satellite reaches its closest point to Earth next weekend.

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/38/20110309...w-98fda55.html

This phenomenon has reportedly heightened concerns about 'supermoons' being linked to extreme weather events - such as earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. Previous supermoons occurred in 1955, 1974 and 1992

Re: The new moon brings danger on March 19th

Never mind the big moon, think of all the loony's surfacing..

Certainly with all this vampire and wolf crap on every single tv channel.

One of my friends back home work for the police and says you see the weirdest things on a full moon night, its not just a myth.

On the other hand, it will be interesting to see , as there is not as much light pollution here in Switzerland as back in Ireland.

Re: The new moon brings danger on March 19th

I can already feel the slow onset of the symptoms:-

- I'm becoming more hairy;
- My teeth and fingernails are growing and becoming sharper;
- My nose is getting bigger and protruding more.

I can't believe it ... I thought I was over this ... you see,

I used to be a werewolf, but I thought I was all right nooooowwwww

Re: The new moon brings danger on March 19th

There's some major BS in that article.

Quote:
This phenomenon has reportedly heightened concerns about 'supermoons' being linked to extreme weather events - such as earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. The last time the moon passed close to the Earth was on 10 January 2005, around the time of the Indonesian earthquake that measured 9.0 on the Richter scale.
Since when have earthquakes and volcanoes been described as "weather". For the earthquake, "Around the time" is 2 months later in March.

Sorry, spoiling the fun, I love a full moon.

Stangely enough, we've got a real one orbiting around Saturn (I believe it's the good planet)

And that full moon is still 8 days away. Obviously it's going to destroy the world.
