I found Neo-Citran is quite good. It's a bit like Beecham's powders or Lemsip and is available from the pharmacy.

Same here. I woke up the day after Swiss National Day and thought I wanted to die (not from booze though) My throat was killing me, my body ached and all I did was sleep for two days. First time I'd been sick in awhile. Usually I can feel when I'm getting sick and stock up on sleep and vitamins and the like but this one just came and knocked me on my ass overnight.

SWMBO is flat out & looks like being so for the weekend.

I've been fit and healthy, until spending this week with a bunch of kids from Zurich who had all sort of coughs and sore throats - now Vaud is infected. Thanks for sharing. I'll just have to kill the bugs tonight with a few drinks.

I'm feeling feverish, sneezing away and generally feeling down, and am fearing the onset of what you're talking about. The throat is fine for now. I thus had my first trip to a Zurich pharmacy to buy what I know and love as over the counter medications, available in any newsagent at home. The effort.

I've been feeling under the weather since I got here five months ago. Feel tired all the time and break out in sniffles once a week.

Sorry to hear that 5 months is too long- see a doctor- maybe it's mono or something. What about bird flu?
