So its that time of the year when the weather gets colder and the people get lazier and the beds are too warm to leave......


How many times do you hit the snooze?

Im normally snooze 3 times, on a very bad day 5

I have always set my alarm clock for about 30 minutes before I actually should be outta bed. I am a consistent 3 snoozer, sometimes 5-6 and then by then I've usually decided I won't be washing my hair that day.

Normally between 3 and 5 . . .

I have an organic alarm clock ... so tend to wait until he is blue in the face & the noise level is unbearable ....

Twice this morning, four time yesterday

Must be a good day.

There is the other option guys retrain your brain to get up straight away and move the alarm time back.

I used to do that, simply jump straight out of bed.

I prefer the snooze, especially as there is a warm body next to me

Ahh, drool, the illicit, illegal sleep that is snooze. I find it works well in odd numbers, 3-5, wake up earlier just to snooze as that's when I go skating, fleeting over the lucid, vivid dream scape.

God, I could sleep right here, right now.

Well i aim for about 3 but end up around the 5 to 6 mark, only problem is at the 6th time my phone pretty much says "fair enough don't get up, see if i care" and shuts all my alarms off :/ been late many-a-time because if this feature

My annoyance is this happens every bloody weekend when there is no alarm clock, straight out of bed 8am.

Why can't this happen Mon-Fri and allow me a leisurely 10am on a Saturday/Sunday morning.

I could do with finding me one of those warm bodies, especially now winter is drawing in

If I don't, SWMBO hits me anyway to turn the damn thing off.

Usualy only once, but this morning, three.

Suffered terrible lack of sleep last night due to tiny organic anti snooze mosquito that got into my room. Every time I was drifting off too sleep, the little b****** starts buzzing round my head, it knew...

It always disappeared when I turned the light on. And it even did the classic, landed on my nose so I ended up slapping myself hard in the face trying to catch it by surprise. Thought I got it, ten minutes later, it's back.

Grrrr. had to get that off my chest.

Ha ha ha! That's funny and incredibly annoying. A previous boyfriend of mine could not sleep if he was getting buzzed by a mosquito so he'd turn the light on at about 3-4 AM and sit there until he could kill it. I wasn't the biggest fan of this as I can't sleep with the light on so he started sleeping with a maglite flashlight next to the bed. I'd wake up and find him sitting next to me trying to spot light the damn thing 'til he could find it and kill it.

I can get away with less snoozes but I literally have to throw myself out of bed. Once I'm up, I'm always fine, it's just that initial shove to get me out.

My cell phone alarm goes at 6.30 then my alarm clock comes on at 7. I switch that off imiediately and snooze then with my cell phone (which goes off all ten minutes) until eight.

So I actually hit that button 9 times.....

I tried everything to get out of bed earlier, I even placed my two alarm clocks in the living room, so I had to get up. But it didn`t work, I just went straight to bed again.

Does anybody know a remedie for long sleepers like me?

Hmm do you reckon you could hire females for this purpose? Obviously purely platonic but for the warmth/hugs on colder evenings?

Reminds me when I was at uni I had this crazed Yorkshire lass (housemate) who used to jump into my bed when she was cold.

Until the new girlfriend at the time reminded me it wasn't such a good idea.
