Haiku of the day

"DJ plays Abba
after a dancefloor fist fight
nobody dances"

Great was my surprise when I got this beauty handed on a piece of paper from another EF member last night. I must say I was quite impressed, since we were at a rock concert and Haiku's were honestly the last thing on my mind at that point. But found it back this morning and gave it a try myself:

"continental drift
had me puzzl'd for a while but
everything ends"

So now it's up to you EFers, get that left side of your brain working and share your 5-7-5 creativity with the world.

looking forward!

Limericks would have to be a separate thread, I'm afraid, but please feel free to start one.

I've noticed that the 5-7-5 thing is quite hard for non-native english speakers (at least for this one), but I think we can allow some artistic freedom there. yours sounds correct to me, anyway

It has rained all week.

Re: Haiku of the day

Simon, it's a slippery slope when you start breaking the 5-7-5 structure. Next it'll be daytime TV and mid-week drinks.
