Do any of you know any good online radio station?

I normally listen to yahoo one, but it doesnt work when Im at work
So I would like to know a couple more online radio stations that I could listen to when I'm at work

I like most kind of music: rock, alternative, r&b, hip hop, dance, trance, techno, house ... etc. BUT no country and folk ... u know those kind.. not really my cup of tea.

Any suggestion is welcome. Thanks!

I'll second that. I'm always surprised that R4 has the virtual monopoly of intelligent talk radio in UK...

Oh, the BBC has on demand radio programmes where you can choose your genre eg: documentries or comedy, and select the programme you want to hear. I havent listened recently, but they used to limit this to programmes broadcast in the last month, though this may have changed.

I'm guessing that you weren't asking about Swiss online radio stations? Since these can be accessed anywhere, by anyone I'm moving this thread to off-topic due to lack of any Swiss-related angle in it.

I pay for membership at www.di.fm, but this is mostly dance-related music - probably not your cup of tea

Surely asking on the English forum, one would expect English radio stations to be on topic? Or would that only apply to English radio stations in Switzerland?

Actually the main discussion topic of this system is Switzerland, despite the name "english" in the domain name. If you look at the descriptions in each forum you'll see the word "Switzerland", whereas for off-topic you'll see "non-Switzerland". The forum has to have a theme otherwise it ends up as a discussion place for everything and everything, which is why off-topic was created in the first place. See the sticky message at the top of off-topic for more details.

If you want a good mix of english/german DJs , plus heaps of alternative/non-mainstream music, try www.fm4.at . They have an online streaming facility. At least the Austrians realise that most people would rather not listen to Paris Hilton.

Here you can hear stations of various genre from around the world.

But I'll keep looking heheheee.... wont give that out that easy, and its good that i could also listen to those radio at home.. when i hv the internet installed in my new apartment.
