Now there is quake online: http://www.quakelive.com/ where you can play just from web site and it maintains your statistics, etc. I played quake 10 years ago, so I tried to play quake online. Now I can't stop
Basically it is the same game, a few more mods have been added, but it is still an old well known q3 ... ! You can try, it is very easy to try.

| | | Re: Any Computer gamers here? | Quote: | | | | | Anyone already had a go at Starcraft 2 ?
My machine is dead at the moment and I can't wait for it to be fixed so I can play this.
First Impressions anyone ? | | | | | Yeah i have this,
Love the game. been great fun, campaign is very interactive and your decisions play out the rest if the game.
In my mind multiplayer multiplies the game play 10 fold. This is how starcraft is meant to be played.
As mentioned by another member you must be logged in to play multiplayer, but single player you can play without logging into battle.net, although you must sign in to verify the CD KEY first. (in my mind this is a good way to secure the game, and others in the future (Diablo3))
All round great fun, thoroughly recommend the game to anyone who enjoys RTS games.

Do any of ya'll use "Steam"?
I've tried reading account terms and conditions and that sort of stuff but the legalese makes my eyes cross after a bit.
Basically, what I want to know is whether you can attach a credit / debit card to an account and have it auto-pay for each purchase you make OR whether you have to enter cc info for each purchase.
Thanks for your answers. |

The physics principles in the game are quite solid.
Didn't some other professor try this already with Starcraft ?

World of warcraft is still going strong and now starcraft 2 is the way forward. Starcraft 2 is very good as you can play for 20 mins or for hours unlike world of warcraft that takes over your life.

So you a street fighter player :P I am close to your age range. I am 26. Love to play 2d fight games. I have several "underground" fight games for pc. Melty Blood, Big Bang beat and many more.
Hit me up when you want to fight.

You think WoW takes your life, did you play MMOs 10yrs ago?
I'm not familiar with Ever"Crack" but I can say for sure that Dark Age of Camelot "required" grouping right from the start... in order to get anything done you needed the "holy trinity" of tank, healer and dps.
I remember spending time in groups when playing support (I played druid and bard, both healer types but each with other special skills) and saying I need to go to bed and being begged to "stay just another half hour, just one more fight, just one... c'mon, we NEED you!"
It was 4am.
I was soooo sleepy but my guildies were soooo demanding and I "knew" that if I didn't stay up, I'd have a hard time finding groups for things later. So, I gave in. |

Please note my forum name. Hubby is ADDICTED to EQII and is, at this very moment, raiding. He gets up at 4-5 am to join different groups. Luckily he is retired now so can nap in the afternoon.

Just got the DL content for Borderlands which has happily kept me amused again. That game is a great stress reliever at the end of the day.

Some advice req'd:
I just implused to buy a gaming keyboard before realizing it wasn't cordless. Of course I have heard that gaming keyboards should always be corded.
I'm used to a wireless where i can bring the keyboard around the room with me when watching a movie etc etc.
Can i use USB extenders, and how many? will I lose responsiveness? is it noticible.
I know I can ask a gamer forum or wtever but I'm lazy.
Input.
