So, who has Fallout 4 up and running?

Who's running it on what at the moment?
Have seen a billboard for it at Hardbrueck Station.

Apart from RAM your system should be o.k.

Read, switching off GodRays and Vsync (need .ini-file adaptions) will give you the best imporvements regardind framerate and playability.

Buying a new GPU at the moment may not be the best move. Somewhen begining 2016 Nvidia and AMD are expected to release their new lineup using 14/16 nm preocess technology. Last shrink to 28nm was Jan. 2012!

That's still a good CPU. I recommend getting 16GB of RAM and the cheapest Nvidia GTX 970 you can find, will give you a huge upgrade in speed over that 760.

Gigabyte GTX 970 - 331chf - https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product...-cards-3452684

Kingston HyperX 2x 8GB - 85chf - https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product...0660?tagIds=76

With those upgrades you'll be fine for a while yet gaming at 1080p resolution.

However I recommend keeping your PC for older, less demanding games and then buying a PS4 and then forgetting about the PC hardware upgrade game, it's what I did and I don't regret it one bit.

Thanks for the input! I'm also poor, 250 francs for a GPU was my biggest purchase in the last few years. As much as I'd love a super fast Ti, I'll hold out with lower visuals and minimal mods for the time.

16 gigs RAM, wow, I totally misjudged the future during the last build---but the prices are very reasonable.

Not a terrible price for the 970, but looks like a huger performance boost. I mentally plan on going SLI when the GPU gets old--Ran 2x 8800 gtx very successfully before the 760 until I accidentally fried them with a vacuum cleaner :P But a 2nd 760 is still way to pricey for the small performance boost.

One day I'll move over to console gaming--but for now I still like my gaming at 1800. Will have to wait for next gen.
