Heh, what's your rank in RA3 ? Stopped playing cause I sold my pc though.
I was never much of an online player. So you wouldn't find me in the leader-boards.

You should try, it's great fun playing with others, there is even a cooperative mode.

Re: Any Computer gamers here?

After a long resistance I finally gave in and bought a TV and a PS3.

I am now available for MW2 and in the near future Bad Company 2.

To any who may be interested, I learned that if you "like" WildTangent Games on Facebook, you can receive a free unlock code for their game FATE.

It is an RPG which plays (in my mind anyhow) something like a cross between Diablo and WoW.

On the topic of RPGs, I'm still slowing progressing through Dragon's Age. Getting kinda boring. Anyone else try it? Is it worth holding out on?

Hubby still plays his Dragon Age sometimes but he's a bit attention deficit when it comes to games and has 3 or 4 that he may get into on any given day.

Which is to say, however good it may be, it is not holding his attention... but that may not necessarily be a fault of the game.

Ok, so I'm not alone in that respect.

On the other hand, I just saw that an extremely impressive Oblivion Mod is going to be released (unfortunately only in German for now). But apparently it will be very indepth for a Mod

Hubby downloaded Allods Online (completely free MMO apparently) within the last few days, it seems pretty interesting.

Re: Any Computer gamers here?

Anyone already had a go at Starcraft 2 ?
My machine is dead at the moment and I can't wait for it to be fixed so I can play this.

First Impressions anyone ?

I got it thru Amazon.co.uk (wanted the english version)
I did not have much chance to play it extensively only couple skirmish maps; my initial comments are:
+ great gfx but you need to have a decent card
+ changes on various units (flying units of zerg, terran, protoss all changed)
- terrans seem to be bit overstrenghtened
~ same unit control (they could have improved the group selection mechanism)
~ (needs to be verified) you have to be online and signed on to battle.net in order to play the game even for skirmish maps and single campaigns (no internet connection -> no starcraft2?.. )

I still need to warm up to the new game; but did not create the same enthusiasm in me like the original

I heard the "Being online all the time with a Battle.net account" thing as well. Thats really not nice...forcing people to be online even to play single player.
I'm hoping though the game is so good that it overshadows that bit.

PS: Star Trek : Armada 2 fans dont like StarCraft anyways.

Re: Any Computer gamers here?

After a talk with a fellow gamer from another continent I tried to dig up some of the old Q3 CPMA videos...

Might be entertaining for all gamers, even if they never played Quake 3:

Ah... sweet nostalgia, I remember many of the names in this video:

(And no, I didn't win)
