| | | General blues
Hi all: It's Friday afternoon, today's my 26th wedding anniversary, hubby's ploughing his way through northern Sweden towards the North Cape in his Defender, I'm still in the office with loads of work undone, the fridge at home is empty, my dog's dead and it's raining outside. Hope the weekend will be better.
Kind regards to all who read this.

Leave work, the undone work isn't going to run away and will still be there on Monday. Go home; large glass of wine, box of chocolates and a hot bath. Curl up with a bloody funny DVD.
Hope you are feeling better really soon. |

Is the dog dead cos the fridge was empty?
Sorry thats a bit harsh... but honestly, why don't you go nuts and buy a new dog this weekend while the hubby is away. You'll be excited cos you have a new project, you'll have all the company you need and your hubby will be shattered and relieved when he gets back so he'll be too knackered to be stroppy about a new dog.

I am blaming the weather... a bit of sunshine and all will be good with the world again.

That's a great idea hugh !
Get you new puppy and occupy your weekend playing with !
Leave the work, go shopping, get what you need to fill your fridge and cook you a great dinner tonight.

Best to get all the grieving out of the way before you get a puppy. It would be hard at first not to compare the new with how waggy/well-trained/funny the old dog was.

Thanks all for the motivation: puppy's out of the question at the moment, weather I can't change, hubby would take too long to get home to make any difference today - I guess hot bath, freezer left-overs, good wine, good dvd is the only solution - it doesn't sound so bad when I think about it!!
Thank you!

He might get upset with you. Let me try and help you out as I know he's a big fan of my brand of the blues...Perhaps it might have been better if you'd expressed yourself as follows.... Woke up this morning (Dan-dan-dan-dan) My anniversary (Dan-dan-dan-dan) My baby's in North Sweden And I'm in Misery CHORUS I got the Blues Them 26th Wedding Anniversary Blues And If I knew a man in Memphis I'd put him in a dead man's shoes Woke up this morning (Dan-dan-dan-dan) Found my doggy dead (Dan-dan-dan-dan) There's nothing in my fridge So I'll eat my dog instead I got the blues....etc Seriously, I hope things get better for you soon. I think the first thing to do when you are feeling down is to tell people you're felling down. It always begins the process of getting it out of your system |

Kind regards to all who read this. | | | | | Sorry to be difficult but what is actually getting you down? Friday? married to the same guy for 26 years? Hubby away in Sweden surrounded by blondes in cold weather when you could be in Sweden surrounded by blondes in cold weather? He is driving the Defender whilst you are stuck with the Fiat Uno? Hubby should be working and you at home in the bathtub (blonde optional) instead of him buggering around the northern lights with said blondes in said weather whilst you work to make the payments for the Defender? Can't afford dinner because payments for Defender taking up all your spare cash? Weather and dog I understand ... buy a cat. If any of above, weekend will be worse!
Regards
Hans
