washing machine speed

Hallo,

I have a maching machine with maximum speed of 1400 rpm.

But I am afraid that sometimes the speed is automatically reduced to lower limit. I donīt like this, I want the my washing machine always reaches the maximum speed because I spent a lot of money for it.

is there a simple way to measure the speed of the drum? stroboscope light can be a way?

I thank you for your help

bye

Depends on the washing program, e.g. the program for delicates is programmed to lower rpm. If you want the full 1400 rpm with this program use the separate spin cycle.

With my washer I can manually reduce but not increase the spin cycle rpm for a given program.

You may want to consult the operating manual before going all nerdy...

Because the less speed, the less good your washing will be???

users...

But it seems there's a market for that! Someone please quickly produce a Silver Washing Machine with a speed indicator showing 240Km/h and spreading Blue LEDs lights.

Welcome to the Forum

I had a washing machine that the speed rpm would change depending on what wash I put on, ie in extreme with delicates. I had a button that I could make the rpm higher or lower on it.
For the lifespan of the machine I believe it is not good to have every wash on a high rpm, especially for heavy loads. If I had a heavy load, towels are heavy, then sometimes I would take half out for the top rpm spin at the end of the wash & repeat for the other half. I was able with that machine to put it on for only a spin.

I grew up with cats ......... it made a change from beef and pork, on a Sunday.

I don't mind cats of people I know - it's all the others; the ones that piss over all my and my children's things.

Having a cat as purely a pet and not a working animal is just an easy cop-out for people - just lock it in all day and have it's claws removed; or send it out in the morning and night-time to shit and piss everywhere - out of sight is out of mind.

I look forward to the thread where OP asks why his clothes are full of holes after one month of washing.

No worries, he'll get:

With Ariel washing Powder special high speed and softener UltraGrip Resistant.

Hopefully with that he could reach 15 000 rpm with only 4.32ms to reach 100Km/H speed.

Re: washing machine speed

Washing machine speed? - I find it unusable, afterwards - if I've forgotten to empty my pockets before washing. Waste of a dime.

How many rpm do you have?
What color is the frame?
How fast can it reach full speed?
Is that automatic or manual?

it's really manly to talk about Washing Machines after all!

My cats were never de-clawed, never shut out all day, they had a cat flap and were only shut inside at night, and had a litter tray. I appreciate this isn't always the case though, and respect your opinion.

Anyhoo, back to the washing machine problem...

This is off subject, I found the middle part of your final paragraph discusting.

Not all cats are purely pets, some are kept as well to catch mice and keep them away

Hence the reference to 'working animal' - doing something useful to earn it's keep .... some people have no choice.

But that's not disgusting - what is , is many city dwellers can't/don't let their cats out and think by calling them a house cat, is fine in dismissing thousands of years of feline evolution.
Conversely, more but not exclusively so, country dwellers who get their cat in for morning scoff, make a fuss of it a bit then kick it out all day because they're at work, then come the evening, repeat the same because cats are naturally nocturnal - not much point in having one ...... apart from checking washing machine spin speeds.

[did you see what I did there?]

Your wish has been granted and the OP answered:
Get a cat to check accurately how much round per minute it can go.

Re: washing machine speed

If you really want to check it out, (and have some fun with it). Get a digital speedometer for a bicycle, affix the piece that goes on the wheel somewhere on the tub near the front (assuming it's a front loader), and hold the other piece outside the window. Hopefully they will be close enough to get a reading on the display! Voila@!

If it isn't close enough, maybe get a stronger magnet (assuming the wheel piece is just a magnet going by the other piece).
