So much talk going around folks at work whether Artic Monkeys did rob Muse of the Virgin awards this summer, or any serious award in that regard.. Do they deserve to be on the cover of almost all NME editions this year ... So give me some amnution for the office fights, what was the hottest:

Unfortunately my ride into work isn't long enough to play one of their anthems, so they had to go.

Scary. As i write this, Channel 4 are showing a "secret" gig by Snow Patrol, and they managed to zoom into a dude in the crowd in a Coldplay tshirt.

He must be destroyed!

the Scissor Sisters - oh, I'm soooo gay though!!

It's official I'm getting old, I've never heard of half the bands mentioned here. Next I'll be saying "you call that music" just like my dear old mum

I do like the Scissor Sisters, Snow Patrol and the Kaiser Cheifs though so maybe I can put the carpet slippers away for another year or two. I always struggle when thinking of best song as it is so dependant on my mood. I agree that Coldplay are incredibley boring but I loved "Speed of Sound", it's the only song of theirs I would choose to listen to. As for festival anthem, to be honest I wouldn't know one if it jumped up and slapped me in the face.
