| If by that you mean there's no point complaining about their antics without boycotting their products, then I disagree. I don't see it as a black and white situation. One needs a threshold.
An analogy: one wouldn't leave one's job just because one disagreed with one's manager or a management decision. | |

I do agree that there are different thresholds for different people for different situations.
You also mentioned Microsoft products, so I assume you are not using Microsoft windows right now? Or it is one of those grey zones?
Your analogy is a good one. If the person disagrees with the manager, he should tell the manager, and reason it out. If it becomes very serious, then the 2 parties should really say good bye and go their own ways.
Staying in the job will eventually make both parties unhappy and counter-productive, better end the relationship now, rather than complain to your friends how shitty or diagreeable your manager is.
Now let me assume a scenario. Sony suddenly realised what an important customer you are, and gives you unlimited access to their products and you can take any product you like at 50% off the retail price (new or old products), will you still say Sony are bastards? They even extend this to anyone you recommend to them. Now what?
Personally, after I received my first salary, I begin to "pay" for my games and sony gadgets, rather than complain about how unfair or how pricey they are.
