You can buy it here. I usually have it in stock, although I've been using a French one of late. Check Globus, Jelmoli and even Coop. Otherwise buy it online, for only CHF7

Re: [OT?]Need some Maldon Salt. Anyone coming from UK?

Thank you for the info!
Just had a lookee @ Sainsbury's - same 250gr pack @ Gbp 1.99 (= appx Chf 4.50)!

Over here Maldon salt is considered to be an "exotic" deli, hence the nice markup in price, and hence my original post aimed at UK travelers

BTW - I haven't managed to find Maldon salt down here in Ticino... which is also a bummer....

I have attempted to send you a private message perhaps you did not get it.
I work at Tesco and have a 10%discount card. If you like I can get this for you and put it in post from Basel tomorrow. I am flying first this in the morning. Is this any good?
Regards

Sorry - but the mark-up in price is more likely to be due to transport costs and smaller buying quantities (as Switzerland is a much smaller market), and not because it's an "exotic deli".

Have just suggested the product to Britshop... maybe they will carry it in future.

Not to mention CHF5 is less than the cost of flight!

I am going over this week ... however, posting from Bern to Ticion (1kg) will cost more than the 5 francs you are going to save on Steptoe ....

I presume you will go to the local supermarket as the postal cost will be equally bad. But if you really want to ask me you can pay me via paypal and I can post it to you tomorrow. Let us know in any direction, as I need to sign off soon.

Well, "the salt" has left the shelf of Tesco, along with a mini bonus gift, and on its way to my luggage. I will post it to you tomorrow from Basel. Would be good if you let me have your address for speedy delivery.
I hope I will not need to explain to the Custom's officer, what it is I intend to do with the white substance!!
Regards,

This looks like a good job. I believe it is called 'suitcase trade!'.
Any relatively lightweigh non perishables I can do. However smellies, perishables would be difficult. Very sorry.

Major THANKS to Sedrun Pics!
Talk about "community values" and support, etc.

Paypal on it's way asap, and of course you're definitely more-than-invited for a über-tasty meal w/my personal, favourite cook - my wife

Ciao from sunny Ticino
