Bad time listening to BBC R2

Is anyone else listening to Radio 2 in the mornings ..... and suffering.

Mainly Chris Evans Breakfast Show, but carrying over into Ken Bruce, too.

This week (apparently) is National Pie Week, back in Blighty, and all they're doing is talking about - and scoffing - PIES ....... drawl, drawl.

So many different ones - from the typical to the exotic .... including K.B. just tucking into a haggis one.

I really should eat something in the morning - this is killing me.

Yesterday, one of the guests on C.E. breakfast show was offered a pie ..... and refused with a 'it's too early for me' - what a plonker: it's never too early for pies.

I want pies!

That's what you get for listening to radio 2 in the first place.

You should take a trip to Wigan! My daughter lives near there and when I went to visit her I had some time till my next train and wandering out into Wigan it was the "World Championship Pie eating contest" this is held every year.

There were some serious looking pies for sale

I'd be suffering too if I had to listen to them. I think it was Chris Evans doing the R1 breakfast show that finally made me stop listening to radio altogether.

Re: Bad time listening to BBC R2

I listen to BBC Radio 4 or the World Service.

I can't stand radio stations where the presenters (DJs) love their own voices so much.

Re: Bad time listening to BBC R2

Well if we are gonna bitch about this, then I have to say I hate Radcliffe and Maconie (Nicey and Scratchy) on BBC 6 Music, their inane banter drives me nuts. Its during this show I switch over to Radio Paradise, it has a much better selection of music.

+1. I switch between BBC World Service and R6. I find Vanessa Feltz on BBC R2 totally unbearable in the morning

Re: Bad time listening to BBC R2

It's not about the radio station or presenters - but what they're discussing.

Let's get this back on track.
