Have you worked with dogs before? Have you trained them to protect? Have you trained them to detect?

I am sure you can get guard dogs in Switzerland - but if you are wealthy enough to have something worth protecting with them, and are Swiss the chances are you're not going to post on a English forum.
yes i have worked and trained a few dogs in my life if your asking if i am swiss yes my father is from manchester mother is from Basel. i was born in Basel as stated before its both for the sport of "schutz hund " and work due to the nature of work i do .

Would a cat suffice?

If you have a pond or pool have you considered securing it?

First of all you will need permission to become a security provider,

Anfrage betrifft: Detektivbewilligungen, Bewilligung für private Sicherheitsanbieter, Bewachung

http://www.bewilligungen.bs.ch/bewil...approvalId=935

Then when you have to get the permission to keep the dog, and do the training of course!

Hunde, potentiell gefährlich Haltung, Haltung, Hundegesetz, Hundehalter, aggressive Hunde, Hundeverordnung, Kampfhund, Rassenliste, Hunderassen

http://www.gesundheitsschutz.bs.ch/tierwohl/hundehaltung/potenziell-gefaehrliche-hunde.html

Finally, any veterinary office will be able to answer your question about a breeder.

I believe you.

However, as a mother, a teacher and someone who appreciates the fact that people don't need guard dogs for protection in Switzerland, I abhor the idea of someone getting a dog for exactly that reason.

Perhaps you'll also want to google the consequences of what happens to you and your dog if it is found out that you trained your dog to bite and he bit someone

i how ever work with clients that have more then a few grand in the bank and i would rather risk a dog then the life of a client . granted a side arm woks well but you can't stop the bulliet when you fire the dog on the other hand can be stopped at any time and the like hood such a dog would bite any one just like that is stupid would be more worried of your average home dog then a dog that has been properly trained . I don't think you have as much assets as some of my clients have . one client i work for from time to time owns a bank and is a CEO of a oil company in russia and is on the board of putins finacial planning . with out sounding rude .

So I was right: your job has to do with protecting criminals.

The fact is, that's how people will see your clients here in Switzerland which is why the vast majority of Swiss would rather your Russian clients just stay away.

That maybe so but its my job not being funny i don't think you should judge when you don't even know my client . may i also remind you that in Switzerland there are a lot of non swiss residents as well .and lets not talk about the amount of foreign companies in Switzerland that help the economy ... what ever my client may or may not be involved in is of no concern for me . my concern is there safety 24/7

So you're essentially here to brag about your clients and your abilities and to tell us to do the googling work you should be perfectly capable of doing yourself, considering you're (so you say) fluent in German and English, are Swiss and know all the regulations etc. etc.
