A bit of totally irrelevant history

... tomorrow will be exactly 45 years since the day I left my rural Jura to go and work in London. For 6 months- and the rest is history.

And 6 years on Sunday since we came back in retirement- with the OH I met a couple of months after my arrival in London, at ... Clapham Junction.

Re: A bit of totally irrelevant history

Funny how we pause sometimes and look back to marvel at how fast the time went. Five years ago this week I quit my awesome job in preparation for moving to Switzerland. Bittersweet. Loved that job, but also am happy with my life here.

Re: A bit of totally irrelevant history

I was only reminded about it because of a post here today, about someone aged 19 saying he is 'just a kid' - and I thought, at that age, I'd gone to London to work, all on my own... and I felt very 'brave' and grown-up
