Beach vacation recommendation

Hello everyone,

I am planning to take my 12 year old daughter to a beach vacation this summer. Since my husband won't be able to join us due to work it will just be two of us. I am looking for a nice sandy beach area that is easy to reach, and most of all safe and all inclusive resort. Could anyone recommend a safe vacation destination/resort for a mom and a child?

Thanks!

Re: Beach vacation recommendation

What's the max flight time you wish to consider?

Is Greece an option for you? If so I would recommend Crete or Zakynthos or any of the other small islands.

I would stay away from North African places for obvious reasons (e.g. Tunesia), although Morocco looks pretty safe. Egypt Red Sea area I would consider as well, you can take a beginner's diving course while you're at it!

Enjoy.

If you provide a bit more info, maybe we can help narrow down the choices. Do you want to fly or drive? How many nights?

This is a forum. Are people not allowed to ask questions or discuss things here? Pretty useless comment if you ask me!

Lighten up. It was actually a serious suggestion. This is what travel agencies are for - helping people that don't have time or energy to search endless lists of holiday destinations. Mother with 12 year old daughter fits their client profile perfectly.

And I don't think my comment prevents anyone else from commenting on the forum really.

Obviously I know of travel agency. However I would really like to get some recommendations based on personal experiences.

Re: Beach vacation recommendation

Go to Greece, Zakynthos. Can't get a more safe, beautiful island than that for family holidays. Visit the shipwreck and the Caves by boat, walk its white beaches, go to the Water park.

You won't regret it. Your kid will remember it for a lifetime.

Go to Greece, Zakynthos. .
With respect I have not been to Zakynthos, but at the same time do recommend some Greek Islands. I know better Crete. That said.

Fully inclusive for the two of you, you will get a reasonable deal, as Fully Inclusive is based on at least 2 sharing a room.

There are some Greek Islands this year, that are unpopular because of the amount of immigrants that are reaching them & Greeks seem to have no problem with these people, but some of the tourists are uncomfortable with them, BUT it is limited which Greek islands the mass of the immigrants are reaching.

in the main if you are in a Fully Inclusive complex within Greece the immigrants will not affect you. What I can only suggest is if you decide on Greece, then search you which complex and then ask if anyone has been & can recommend for you two.

What you need to take on board, is what your requirements of Fully Inclusive are?

Often the hotel complex may have a number of swimming pools & although not on the beach often, but not always has a free bus system to a beach. I would also suggest if you are choosing Fully Inclusive, perhaps better to choose a complex that caters more to fully inclusive or totally to fully inclusive, rather than a complex that it is one of the choices.

Look forward to hearing more of your choice or requirements. Greece island, you will get the sun and relaxation.
