Starting a new job...

…yeah! One year and eight months of level one adscreening for E-bloodybay is over and done with, no more woman's maternity bras, no more fluffy, up-chuck cute woofy-wuffs, its 'll over.
So the new gig is in the betting and gaming industry where I have jumped through all the flaming hoops, all the questions all the interviews at the end of which I was almost ready to ask, "why all the hassle? It's only another frukcling low-tier job." And due to the age of the interviewers, "Is there a grown-up I could talk to?"
Got the police report, got the pictures, passport is in order, all the do-dahs they asked for, except… Why the hell would they demand a birth certificate?
It's not a document I would expect to produce for a job, anybody wanna offer a suggestion why they would want one?

Re: Starting a new job...

The kiddy interviewers can't really believe you're that old / that young (delete as appropriate) based on your appearance?

Or their outsourced HR screening company has a "rule"... and/or charges per document checked

Re: Starting a new job...

How else would they know you are of legal age and not just suffering from progeria? (sorry to the people suffering from this.)
